Youth & Kids

K-WAM

K-WAM (kids with a mission) is the name given to our children’s Sunday morning groups at Christ Church Summerfield. Our desire is to provide a safe and caring environment in which to help our children to love God, love other people and to love life.

Brownies & Guides

Girlguiding is active in every part of the UK, giving girls and young women a space where they can be themselves, have fun, build brilliant friendships, gain valuable life skills and make a positive difference to their lives and their communities.

Led by Bev Morrison, Brownies and Guides have had days outs, trips for bank holidays and are excited for the 100 year anniversary coming soon!

Brownies and Guides meet on Fridays from 6pm.
Both are held at the Christ Church Summerfield Memorial Hall.

Campaigners

Led by Sheila Armstrong, Campaigners is part of the outreach of Christ Church Summerfield.
We have 4 age groups ranging from 4 - 18 years old. Our aim is to teach children to know Jesus and to follow Him. Activities have included gaining awards (including the Duke of Edinburgh's Awards), Campaigner badges, camp, swimming, socials and recently a visit to Kenilworth Castle.
We celebrated 90 years of Campaigners in 2012!

We meet on Wednesdays and Fridays, at 6.30pm, at the Ark Community Centre.

‚ÄčThe Little Ark

Open on Wednesday mornings from 10am to 11.30am for any local residents with pre-school children. Based at the Ark Community Centre in Cavendish Road, Little Ark is run by volunteers from Christ Church to provide a service to young families in the area. Come and join us for crafts, play and singing. We offer drinks and snacks mid-morning.
This is a new venture for Christ Church, started at Easter 2013 and we are learning as we
go! It’s our intention to offer "Messy Church” sessions two or three times a year part of our
Wednesday morning activities.

Teens at Christ Church

Sunday night is Teens Night!

We meet twice a month, once to hang out socially and the other to wrestle with some big faith issues. We've been to the cinema, sweated around Laser Quest, tried to stay upright whilst ice skating and played loads of board games. We've discussed self-image, relationships, creation, other faiths and the resurrection of Jesus.

We come from a range of different faith backgrounds and schools and enjoy this great opportunity to make new friends and have a lot of fun (and popcorn).

For school years 7-13. For more information, contact Rev'd Rhiannon Jones via the Church Office.
