Weddings

If you’ve just got engaged, congratulations!

We believe that marriage is increasingly important – strong, loving relationships with a lifelong intention are good for everyone.

To get married at Christ Church, you need to live within our parish boundary or be able to demonstrate some family or other connection. For more information click here.

Please note, as of Autumn 2015, that the church building itself is out of use pending its 'reordering' or updating. We worship in the hall beside the church at the moment.

Our best advice at the earliest stage of wedding planning is for you to talk to us before you confirm a date for a reception venue. We don’t like having to say no to you if a certain date won’t work for the church, so please make contact with the Church Office for further details. One of the clergy will then make contact with you to arrange a time to meet. As well as us ascertaining some information we need from you, you can then ask all the questions you need to about your wedding: planning the church service, flowers, music etc.

Don't hesitate to get in touch if you're not quite ready to make arrangements but would value some advice. We're here to help! For more information on marriage and the Church of England, see www.yourchurchwedding.org.
